The Northeast Family Center (NFC) is a community-based non-profit in Lincoln, Nebraska. NFC provides services and programs for individuals and families, including early childhood education, family support, and youth development. NFC fosters a stable, supportive family environment for the surrounding community and provides quality programming for all members regardless of income.
As a graphic design intern at Jacht Agency, I worked directly with NFC to develop a new logo and brand guide as well as design guidelines for an updated website which can be seen at nfclincoln.org.
This design received a Prism Award for Logo Design at AMA Lincoln’s 2022 Prism Awards.
The logo is built from separate elements, each representing a separate aspect of NFC’s mission statement. The book represents education, the lightbulb represents engagement, and the family at the center represents community empowerment.
I built a full, in-depth brand guide, including color application, type recommendations, logo variations, and a letterhead template. The goal of this brand guide was to help NFC keep its branding consistent across all platforms and do so simply since they do not have an in-house designer or graphics specialist.
